Would you help us trim the church bushes beginning July 8th at 8 a.m.
Saturday July 8th is a work day in the church yard day. The bushes and some persistent weeds are growing at God’s house. We need your help trimming the bushes and pulling or spraying some weeds. Bring your bush trimmers, hand shears, rakes and tarps. Call the church office, 815-786-6406 to tell us you are coming or shoot us an e-mail. We need to assemble a good team of workers. Thanks. |

Increase use of internet...
We are currently exploring ways to better communicate and be more efficient through use of the internet. We need your help, input and feedback. Currently only Assistant Ann H. computer is on the internet and communication flows through her as she screens and passes on important messages and information. I appreciate Ann's hard work as a necessary buffer. We would to begin communicating with volunteers using both the phone and internet. We would save the cost of paper and stamps.
Should we begin sending the monthly newsletter Lightshine via the internet? Currently a shortened copy is available on the web page www.our-saviors.com Using the internet would allow us to reduce the cost of paper, printing ink, copying costs and postage. Would you read the Lightshine if it came to your home via the internet? Would you open it or would it sit in your computers inbox unread? Are you more apt to read it if we continue to mail it to your home? Some copies would have to be mailed to those without internet and made available on the welcome table. Communication of Our Savior’s ministry and connecting with you is of utmost importance and cannot be compromised. We will need help finding good computer programs that print text and illustrations and training in how to use them. We would need everyone’s E-mail address for this to work. We need and treasure your feedback. We never do anything at O.S. without good conversation as we seek to move forward together. Would you give Judy, Becky, or a council person input, or talk to P. Dave. We presently have tremendous internet support people in Mr. Jerry Kell and Ms. Dorothy Wilgus and son-in-law David Lausch. We treasure and want to publicly thank them and our Lightshine folding crew. If you want to join the team, we would appreciate your help. Thanks, P. Dave
